ORDINANCE NO. O-25-04
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO
THE TOWN OF STOCKTON 2016 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
The Town Board of the Town of Stockton Ordains as Follows:
Section 1
Pursuant to Section 62.23(2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes the Town of Stockton is authorized to prepare and amend a Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Stockton as defined in Section 66.1001(1)(a) and 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes and has been working cooperatively with the Portage County Planning and Zoning Department in amending the Town of Stockton 2016 Comprehensive Plan.
Section 2
The Plan Commission of the Town of Stockton, by a majority vote of the entire Commission, has adopted a resolution recommending the Town Board adopt the amended Town of Stockton 2016 Comprehensive Plan.
Section 3
The Stockton Town Board held a public hearing on the proposed amendments to the 2016 Comprehensive Plan on December 22, 2025, in compliance with the requirements of Section 66.1001(4)(d) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
Section 4
The Town Board of the Town of Stockton, Portage County, Wisconsin, does by enactment of this Ordinance, adopt the amendments to the document formerly titled “Town of Stockton 2016 Comprehensive Plan” pursuant to Section 66.1001(4)(c) of Wisconsin Statutes.
Section 5
This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage by a majority vote of the Town Board and publication as required by law, and the 2016 Comprehensive Plan shall be amended as deemed appropriate by the Town Board.
